Sims 2 nightlife questions?
hi everyone :)
i jsut recently bought the sims 2 night life expansion pack and i have a few question:
1. how do you become a vampire without doing any cheats? does it jsut randomly happen?
2. where do you buy cologne? one of the turn on/off are cologne so how do you get some?
3. can you get in a car crash with your own car?
4. can your car get stolen?
5. this doesnt have to do ith nightlife, but it does with sims 2. its kind of a long story so here it goes:
ok so a long time ago before i even had my own sims 2 i borrowed the sims 2, sims 2 open for buisness, and sims 2 pets from one of a friend. so i installed it, and started playing it, but after a week i needed to give it back. so i un-installed everything (or at least i think i did) and then a little time after i got my own sims 2. but when ever i load sims 2, instead of veronaville its call PETS and its annoying because veronaville is my favouritte town, and when ever i go into pets
my computer freezes. why could this be? its really annoying. but i dont want to un-install everything because i dont want to loose everything on my game. help me please!
:(
i jsut remembered this question:
6. i also have university, so i have all the new jobs that come with it. but when my sims (that i never played with in university) look for a job, they never gewt the optain of all those new jobs. does it jsut take time? or do you have to play in colledge wiht them?
Tonights.com Recommends:
1) ok to become a Vampire from the manual:
Bite Me
Okay, aliens impregnating male Sims through "probes" should be enough of a supernatural worry, but now we've got vampires running around. Vampires, unlike a lot of the more bizarre stuff in the Sims series, is fully fleshed out and has its own pros and cons.
The first question is, how does one become a vampire? You cannot create vampires in the Family Creation screen. In fact, to get your first controllable vampire will take some bit of work. After that, it won't be too difficult to infest your neighborhood with the undead.
At nighttime in Downtown, you may run across one of two vampires (there is one for each gender). The vampires have a bluish tint to their skin, and they wear clothes straight out of the old 50s movies. If you know anything about vampires, you'll remember that it takes a bite to become one, a la Spiderman. (That must be the first time in history anyone has ever connected vampires to Spiderman.) The thing is, vampires won't bite just anyone; you have to earn a bite.
To be qualified for losing your mortality, you must have a good relationship with a vampire. It doesn't have to be a romantic relationship, but it can be. Vampires will not be active at all during the day, but unlike normal Sims, they're up all night. Adjust your Sim's sleeping hours, then call the vampire over for some late-night partying. Eventually, if your Sim's relationship is high enough, the vampire may automatically... Vampires, as I said earlier, carry their own pros and cons, which activate the instant a Sim is bitten. First, the pros... Sims who are vampires do not age, nor do their need bars decay, between 6 PM and 6 AM. That's right, they do not get hungry, tired, stinky, or uncomfortable. They will still lose their statuses if they do certain actions (working out will still lower Hygiene, for example), but they will not lose those meters because of the natural decay.
Now the cons... Vampires become highly susceptible during daylight. Even if they're in a room with windows, their meters will absolutely plummet. It only takes a few Sim-hours in the sun for a vampire to die. Even if a vampire is in a house without windows, his natural decay will be slightly faster than an ordinary Sim's. Due to this limitation, it's damn near impossible for a vampire to have any sort of conventional job, so if you only have one bacon-bringer in the house, it may be better to leave him normal.
When daylight comes, they will need a special object to protect them from the sun's rays. Under the Bed subsort of the Seating sort of Buy Mode, there is a special bed: a coffin. Shove a vampire in there, and he will be safe. In fact, the meters will freeze while he's in the coffin, stopping the decay entirely.
When two vampires have a baby, the baby will not be a vampire. Babies and children can never be vampires, actually; this is probably because they have to go to school. Sims can be cured of Vampirism by drinking a special potion sold by the matchmaking gypsy. Once back to a normal Sim, all vampire effects are removed. The Sim will start aging and have his natural decay, but he can safely traverse the streets during the day again.
Be careful when a vampire is around, because he may just randomly bite a normal Sim even if Free Will is disabled. If you want a vampire living with normal Sims, be sure that the vampire always has something to do.
2) you can buy cologne at the clothing stores down town. it will go in your inventory and will be there untill ou want to use it.
3) I do not believe you can crash your car Sims are safe drivers
4) I do not know if your car can get stolen because it has never happened to me but I know you can install an alarm so i guess it could happen.
5) I think to get rid of everything you would have to unintall everything and re install again. sorry
6) I have Uni I just really haven't played with it too much I'mpretty sure you would have to graduate from college before you could access those jobs.

i think to become a vampire you need to be bitten by one, although i have never had this happen to any of my sims, you can usually meet vampirs at night.
the cologne is usually sold in one of the community lots, it appears as a little yellow display that sits on a bench or display table, you click on it and it will give you the option to purchase the colugne, it then goes in to your sims inventory, you then click on your sim and there should be an option to put the cologne on, it wont stay on the hole time, it will eventyally ware off.
no you cant crash your car
and sometimes a bergular will try and still things from your house and although I have never seen them try steal a car it probably could happen, when you purchase a car for your sim you can click on the car and give the option to have a alarm installed.
in regards to your game problems I would think the game has not been completely removed, sadly the only way you can fix all this means you have to un-install everything and then re-install it again, but don't worry this does not mean you have to loose all your stuff, all you need to do is get a Dvd disk, or memory storage stick
and copy all of the below folders on to the disk or memory storage stick device.
C:\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads\
C:\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Neighborhoods\
C:\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Saved Sims\
C:\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Projects\
once you have un-installed then re-installed the game, just go back on to your disk or memory storage stick device and then copy it all back in to the correct folders (eg. Downloads,Saved sims,Projects,Neighborhoods)

1)You have to make friends with a vamp.look for a Count or Countess.
2)You'll have to look around for a shop that sells it or build one that does.
3) I really don't think so, that's never happened to me.
4)That probably why the give you the install alarm option.
5)There is still a Veronville, either you just passed it by some how or it came with an expansion pack you don't have.
You may want to go to the Sims2.ea.com site with questions or get a Prima guide.

1. Become friends with a vampire, they'll bite you after that (yeah, real friendly.)
2. You can buy cologne at a store, there's a counter top display of yellow bottles.. that's it.
3. No
4. Yes (it happened to me) , but you can get an alarm installed on your car
5. I'm sorry, but it sounds like you're going to have to uninstall everything. :(
6. You have to go to college to be able to get those jobs.
